Hockey is a passion for this Dashwood native, as a kid instead of his mother getting a babysitter they would lock him in the bathroom with his hockey stick and tennis ball, Terry would entertain himself in there for hours at a time we are assuming by stick handling with the tennis ball, however after so long there are certainly a few other things that could have tweaked his interest.

All of this practice has led Genttner to the ZRHL where he has led numerous teams to championships, last to date was the 2005 Penguins, battling through a groin injury only made Terry a better person and player and is now even recognized in the same sentences as the Gretzky's and Orr's. Genttner has cleaned out Gretzky’s office behind the net and has moved right in and took his place, it’s from there that Terry makes all the action happen stamping every pass that comes out.

When asking some of the teammates that he has formerly played alongside they can only say great things about Genttner. Dan Dalzell a former leaguer who violated the substance abuse program was quoted as saying. "I need another beeroh Genttner yeah! best playmaker to ever play in the ZRHL!.” After those very kind words from Dalzell he passed out and soiled himself, But less about Dan and more about Terry. Watching Terry play hockey is like sitting back in the lazy boy at home with that naturally aged bottle of fine genuine wine that you have been saving for so many years. Taking the very first sip and watching Genttner saucer the pass to his winger, there is only one word to describe it .........smooooooothhhhhhh!!!!!!
